Well, being springtime, the baking soda paste cure for a bee sting/yellow jackets is a good one. I tried it myself while out in the backwoods/country with family and it is an instant cure as long as you remove the stinger first.

Yes I couldn't believe how instant it was, has something to do with acidity of stings, the alkaline properties of baking soda neutralizes it collects the blood, stops the bleeding by pressure as it swells.

I just cut them up, toss them in a bowl with olive oil, salt, pepper, and herbs then put them in a 400 degree oven for 20 min.

They get all crispy and yummy like
a snack but healthy.

Tazzie and Ozzie’s Story....
Truly Uplifting and Inspirational
Submitted by TazzyKaz

Ozzie was born in 2009. After his birth his owner threw him away with a garbage bag tied around his head. We are not sure how long he was that way however, he found his way to my son's house where they kept him. My son called my hubby said hey I found the perfect dog for y'all and your new house. One look we were in love. Ozzie was brought to our house on move in day and has been with us every since.

Ozzie was about 6 months old and we were in the backyard gardening. I felt weak, sweaty and passed out. Ozzie jumped the fence went to the neighbors and barked and clawed the door till they came out. The Dr. said he saved my life. Now we knew I was going to be disabled due to a serious work accident but never thought of a service dog. We researched and contacted the ADATA.ORGand learned the requirements to certify him. He had to learn the smell of each medication in the bottle and once I had swallowed it. He needed to learn to open things.

We tied ropes to doors fridge washer dryer everything a woman could possibly ever open. This was very easy for him. As he passed each stage by law he was required to pass a course with complete strangers. The animal is required to pass each service listed on his application. Next was walking sounds easy right well for a service animal it is not. The animal must walk as a balance aide or as a crutch. Now Ozzie started out as a balance aide meaning he would walk on the side needed at the time and would switch accordingly. As a crutch the animal wears a handle harness his steps must match yours to keep your natural balance. He must anticipate your moves. Ozzie also passed these easily. Ozzie is nationally registered with RN after his name. He has every human right as well as animal rights. Under federal law he is required to be certified every 4 years and have his licence available at all times. Under Florida law he is required to wear a vest in public places. We go through physical training every 3 to 6 months and we do it together. He is my right side of my body. Ozzie is trained to exercise me and he does that very well. We play soccer he brings me the ball puts at my foot I kick he brings back but further away forcing me to move. He is an Australian mix meaning he is a herder. Herders are very active very alert animals they always know their surroundings. He barks for the door when someone is there. He puts his paw on my arm for the phone. He has been trained to hit 1 on the big number phone which is linked to the 911 number. I had a stroke a few years ago. Ozzie and I were in the kitchen. Ozzie went to the phone hit 1 barked and laid beside me while the phone was still active. The paramedics arrived, Ozzie allowed them to treat me and they put his leash on and we went to the ER. When I came around there was Ozzie laying head on my tummy watching me.
Everything happens for a reason and there is a reason for everything. My life has been saved and enriched by a dog no one else wanted. We do everything together and are never apart. Ozzie himself rescued a starving kitten on the street. He licked the cat picked him up in his mouth brought him home. He would not let me in the house until the cat was in. Now we have a cat. Ozzie took it upon himself to train Mau Mau to help me and yes Mau Mau is also certified. All animals are precious gifts and trainable. Never use harsh words angry looks hitting or electric shock. Ozzie was trained out of pure love and love is what he gives. He fought a pit bull which got loose for me. He sleeps with me and makes my dreams wonderful. There is never any animal or person who is a waste everyone everything has a purpose and if you do not open your eyes you shall never see the wonder of the world.

To learn about service animals go to ADATA.org many rights and tips are available. The animal you save today will save your life tenfold. Ozzie is 5 years old and must retire at 10 years old due to my health. Ozzie will always live with us and he shall pick his replacement. Seems only fitting since he was sent to save my life and my soul.

Many years ago (1968) I was in Cambodia and I saw these huge fruit bats with a 6 foot wing span. So that's how I got my name!

A terrible tragedy occurred on the 28th of April
to our treasured staff member,  Mommy2bobbiesue.

Terror and fear broke out People in northern Mississippi as people huddled in hallways and basements. A string of devestating tornadoes ripped through the State on the Monday evening. Many lost their homes and and the dealth toll is still being recorded.

Mommy2bobbiesue was one of those people that lost her home in this horrific storm.  Her family is now in a shelter trying to contact family and friends using her tablet.

Our thoughts are are with Mommy2bobbiesue and her family!
